YouthLine is a free and confidential 24-hour teen-to-teen crisis, counseling, and referral line for youth.YouthLine began in 1999, when, in response to the alarming statistics on youth alcohol and drug use and related teen issues, a group of Portland youth decided to fight back by creating a teen crisis hotline at Oregon Partnership. They researched other teen lines across the country, designed a plan for ‘YouthLine,’ and began answering calls in January 2000. Since then dozens of youth have logged thousands of hours in training and volunteering to be there for teens in their time of need. No judgment, no shaming, just listening and supporting. |
BULLYING AND INTERNET SAFETY RESOURCES
If you are being bullied or harassed at school, make sure that you talk to your parents and let a teacher, counselor, administrator or other school staff member know what is going on. There are also many good websites that address bullying in schools and how you can take a stand. |
All Beaverton School District students will be using the Oregon Career Information System (CIS) as they build their Educational Plan and Profile during their middle and high school careers.
In today's changing world, everyone must be actively involved in life and career planning. CIS provides a solid framework for using information and other resources. With it's high standards, CIS helps people learn about and recognize quality career information in the information age.
